It was 1995, in sunny South Florida. At that time our enterprise included kitchen build-outs; hood systems along with equipment installations & service. This industry was good to us, transitioning from a restaurant owner/operator background the connection was a perfect recipe. Widely recognized locally, we began to receive routine service calls for a rotisserie oven in a concept that went on to be famous worldwide…known as Kenny Rogers Roasters. These were not repeat issues, it was something new every time and co-founder of KRR, John Y. Brown was at wits end. During a service call he said one very special thing to our founder Roman Moreth Jr., “If you can build me a better rotisserie that doesn’t break-down all the time, I’ll buy it!”. This sparked Roman’s curiosity, having a colorful background; owning a variety of business including a car dealership, fruit distribution center, construction company, yacht brokerage, a famous go-kart track & a handful of restaurants, his renaissance man stature kicked in and the development on a ground breaking rotisserie began…
